My name is Georgia Fuchs and I am the current Secretary/Treasurer for the local NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath) chapter. We are so excited to be partnering with Kansas City Homes and Style and I am honored and humbled to be the first designer published on this forum.

I am a native Kansas Citian. I love our city and have always been interested in the arts throughout my life. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Kansas. Once my girls were older, I decided to pursue my design passion. I went back to school at Johnson County Community College to earn my degree in Interior Design, specializing in Kitchen and Bath. I learned early on that design is not just about putting pretty things together!  During the program I earned the Student of the Year award for 2017. At the end of the program, I passed the AKBD (Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer) certification through NKBA! In 2020, I won the Gold Heartland Design Award for Specialty Entertaining, for a Mediterranean Bar done for a client.

I started my own business, Georgia Fuchs Interior Design, LLC in 2017 and I haven’t looked back. My design style is to design with the client in mind. I strive to give my clients something timeless that they won’t tire of in a few years. There are a lot of trends out there, but I always tell my clients, what is trending specifically for them is what they love and works best in their space. I don’t design by a trend. As we are taught in design school “Form follows Function.”
