PREMIER PLUMBING FIXTURES

Story by Ann Butenas    |    Sponsored Content

There is a lot of excitement in the air at Kitchens & Baths by Briggs, and it is palpable. Known as a leading wholesale distributor of plumbing fixtures and supplies for kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, and new construction, this 117-year-old company showcases some of the most innovative, expressive, and dynamic products in the marketplace today.

With something for every budget, Kitchens & Baths by Briggs offers an expansive portfolio of sinks, faucets, fixtures, and accessories to make your remodeling project a true standout. The company also carries a vast selection of stunning boutique items that can beautifully complement any of your design projects, as well as decorative lighting fixtures.

In addition to Moen, Delta and Kohler, they carry high profile brands like Bain Ultra, Hansgrohe, Rohl, California Faucets, Waterstone, Watermark, and Brizo, among many other notable brands. With branches in Iowa and Nebraska, Kitchens & Baths by Briggs established a showroom in Kansas City in 2011, catering to the growing market.

“We sell to everyone, including homeowners, remodelers, designers, builders, and plumbers,” emphasized Todd Johnson, Branch Manager, whose team works tirelessly to ensure each client’s utmost satisfaction.

“We also take into account the client’s style and preferences and the functionality needs of the client,” he said. “We listen to what they have to say. Our staff members are fully involved in the industry, attending various ASID and product manufacturing trainings, and staying current on colors and trends.”

Johnson referenced the recent pandemic as an event that changed the landscape of what homeowners are currently doing with respect to the spaces in their homes.

“The pandemic shifted the focus to the home and made people consider what they currently have and if it is working for them,” he explained. As a result, Johnson has seen a huge uptick in kitchen and   bath remodeling projects, as families have shifted the manner in which they use these spaces, most notably with respect to the kitchen.

“The kitchen has become more of a multi-functional environment,” he expressed. “It has evolved to something bigger with larger islands used as dining tables, a place to do schoolwork, and as gathering spots. People are also creating culinary centers and adding workstation sinks so they can enjoy the chef experience at home, incorporating cutting boards, strainers, and fancy accessories.”

Johnson referenced an exciting new product that is taking center stage in many of these updated kitchen projects – the Kohler Purist ceiling-mount kitchen sink faucet.

“This 360º spinning faucet is controlled by a remote activated puck you can move wherever you want,” he noted. “You can use it at the stove instead of using a pot filler, for example. You can then swing it around to the island. It is the most revolutionary product I’ve seen come out in a while, as it doesn’t just limit you to one sink. Plus, it can change temperature and pressure from the mobile device.”

When it comes to updating bathrooms, homeowners are leaning heavily into the ambiance of a spa-like retreat.

“If space allows, people are removing old tubs and creating one giant spa shower, or they are incorporating a tub with spa-like features,” said Johnson.

Other popular bathroom appointments include digital showers, voice-activated lighting, heated floors, smart toilets, and smart mirrors, many of which can be operated through voice-activation.

In addition to the impressive selection of products, the customer service at Kitchens & Baths by Briggs is unmatched, which is the primary reason for the company’s stellar reputation. This company works with all projects, large and small. They also work closely with contractors to provide everything needed for the project to be successful.

What’s Next

Johnson suggested customers are now favoring an infusion of natural materials into the spaces of their home, focusing on richer colors with some added whites. They are also incorporating accessories like handmade pottery pieces and stone applications to further enhance that style.
