As a third-generation builder, his team is comprised of over 200 years of experience. He is constantly forging ahead with homes that feel fresh and trendy. Syler recently moved their main office to Kearney, MO. 

“We are in a commercial building park that we developed ourselves along with three other future buildings to lease. We upgraded our office to accommodate our future clients,” he explained. “Our facility has a new conference room and showroom. We also have two finished model homes that we collaborated with and are furnished by Amethyst Home that will be in the upcoming Fall Parade of Homes.”

Both are available to tour now. The Avail in the Eagle Point Preserve at Shoal Creek, at 8524 N. Booth Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64158, is their most desired plan. The other Parade home is in the Palisades community in Riverside, The Ridgedale, located at 2571 Riverview Drive, Riverside, MO  64150.

When you see a Syler home, you understand that approach. In addition to incorporating current trends in terms of design and presentation, he truly does have a signature style. While his floor plans adhere to a strong element of functionality, each one also showcases hints of personality, unique features, and stunning appointments you just will not find in other homes.

Such notable details include intricate vaulted ceilings, unique pendant lights, artistic accent walls, 12-foot double sliding doors, built in wine closets and so much more. Syler can definitely flex his design savvy muscles to incorporate that decided “wow” factor into each home he builds.

One of his jaw-dropping floor plans is The Avail. The Avail is the home featured here, with photos to demonstrate unique characteristics and includes many artistic features. Syler points out the wine nook off the large kitchen which gives guests a view of the opulent wines available and showcases the owner’s collection. The 12-foot sliding door leads to the screened deck featuring a warming fireplace to enjoy the golf course view. On the front of the house, you will see glazed overhead doors, which are another detail to add to the modern design, along with a mix of stone, stucco, and illuminating downlights. 

“From the entry, you’re able to see through the house; it looks so spacious,” Syler describes.

The Avail is designed in the Contemporary/Clean Line Theme incorporating Universal Design Architecture. The great room has a 12-foot ceiling with wood beam details and a fireplace with floor to ceiling stone which is flanked by custom live edge wood benches. The expansive open kitchen features a 10-foot island with stone countertops. 

The main level laundry room with sink is a plus, along with the main level flex suite which can be a dining room or office is accented with a stunning, stained wood detail in the vault and vertical shiplap on the wall. The lower level is finished with two bedrooms and a wet bar. The master bathroom includes a beautiful free-standing tub beside a double head walk in shower enclosed in clear glass. 

“I call this one of my hybrid plans,” he explained. “We can easily modify it to accommodate your needs, such as adding another office anywhere in the plan if you work from home, suspended the garage for a movie room or home gym.”

While this model can be found at the Eagle Point Preserve at Shoal Creek, at 8524 N. Booth Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64158, and in the Meadows at Greenfield (his own development), The Palisades, Staley Farms, The Greens of Shoal Creek and Davidson Farms of Shoal Creek, this plan is their most popular plan and Syler will build it everywhere in town.

“We are happy to build this plan wherever the client wants,” said Syler, who provides a wide range of selections for upgraded finishes and works with a trim professional who is equal parts carpenter and artisan. 

“Between our team and our subcontractors, we have a great system all working together to deliver the best product,” he noted. “We create the ambiance of a custom home with the option of available upgrades.”

At the same time, Syler maintains a simple base price from which clients can work as they choose the upgrades they desire. Syler and his team are hands-on throughout the entire build process and are the experts at pulling everything together and thinking outside the box to provide that added edge and inspiration.
