Creating a backyard retreat is a dreamy task, and these homeowners contacted Maverick Pickering, Maverick Landscaping Porch and Patio, to knock it out of the park! Maverick has an eye for beauty and what it takes to envision outdoor spaces that are unique and welcoming. He has seen that more and more people are looking to create a space in their own backyard rather than travel long distances.

Maverick noted, “The homeowners had a wooded lot and wanted to accentuate the water view. Their goal was to build a rectangular pool with an automatic pool cover. The pool was designed to be long and linear, and we put large porcelain tiles on the pool deck, which are lighter in color, harder and denser.  They are the new go-to pool decking.”

The porcelain tiles are also cool to bare feet and non-slip.

The pool features chaise chairs in the pool, with fountains that bubble up between those chairs.

The long linear design offers a contemporary feel. Maverick likes the negative and positive spaces and the way the pool is laid out, with a sun end and a shade end.

Another feature in the pool is the Italian designed Tuuci umbrella made in Miami. These umbrellas are considered the best umbrellas you can buy and are actually pieces of art, sculptured with stainless steel. Many resort spaces and yachts opt for them.

In addition to the pool features, Maverick coordinated the night lighting and landscaping as well.

The homeowners commented, “Our project turned out beautifully and the pool, surrounded by the great decking, landscaping and natural features of the wooded lot and pond make for spectacular memories for our family and friends.”

Maverick explained, “My clients have good taste and desired a contemporary, low key, long rectangular look for the pool. We   actually made it 10 feet longer to allow for the four chaise lounges. The pool was built around putting those in.”

Living life around this pool will certainly be a joy for years to come.
