This redesign brings opulence and elegance to life.

When redesigning bathroom space, there are many options to consider. Anna Fleming, ML Designs, was up for the challenge when her client called wanting to freshen up hers. She added color and pizzazz with feminine touches!
The clients have lived in their Leawood home for many years, updating other parts of the home, and the primary bathroom was next on the list. As a thoughtful person, the client noted that in today’s fast-paced world, she wanted a vision of timeless elegance, bathed in natural light with crisp white cabinetry and touches of brass, creating her own spa-like retreat that fits her style and everyday needs.
“She always said the bathroom is not just a place to begin and end the day, and that she wanted it to be a reflection of the belief that home should nurture inspire and delight,” Fleming explained, adding, “She wanted it to remind her that true elegance lies in the details. Throughout the project, we strove for timeless elegance with everyday luxury.”
That sophisticated yet comfortable theme started with white marble countertops. The paneled walls and millwork with embellished brass bring in architectural depth and extend that airy feel of the room.
The single bulb wall sconces in their gold color and patterned tile floor are the ideal complements for the classic gold-knobbed vanity and sleek upholstered bench she enjoys.
The shower, with its clear glass and tall design, makes you feel as if you are standing in an open space unhindered and without boundaries, with simple yet elegant touches. The multiple rain shower heads lend a tranquil reprieve from the day’s activities.
“Every element was chosen to be refined and approachable. For the floor she wanted a touch of glamor, yet she said it emphasized warmth and indulgence,” Fleming expressed. “The combination of elegance and personal touches transformed the bathroom into a space that feels beautiful, functional, and full of joy.”
The chandelier created that unexpected touch of enchantment while providing the shimmer of crystal and gold. It became the perfect finishing detail, balancing exquisiteness with a hint of drama.
The fanciful wallpaper insets in the toilet room with their colorful, yet delicate tropical feel, embrace the wall, conjuring thoughts of a whimsical garden! The goal wasa to feature lush floral pinks and greens, which gives it a pop of her personality, yet adds depth and a playful contrast to the main bathroom.
“It’s just the toilet room, but she was all for giving it some wowing personality,” Fleming smiled. “This is another example of her creative, lively spirit.”
As you step back and look at the entirety of this amazing project, it is evident that the interior designer and the client worked hand in hand to create a beautiful and classic personal space that will withstand time and encourage and invite dreamy days of enjoyment.
