KCBR Design | Remodel
“Building Better Together”
Story by Ann Butenas / Sponsored Content
At KCBR Design | Remodel, exceptional design doesn’t happen by itself. Instead, it happens through collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to excellence. Their theme, “Building Better Together,” speaks to continuous education within their team and the long-lasting relationships they’ve built with vendor partners. Homeowners reap the benefits of this collective expertise rather than through fragmented, individual efforts.

“‘Building Better Together’ is about recognizing that it truly takes a village to bring our clients’ visions to life. That village is rooted in close collaboration within our in-house team, bringing every detail to life and executing seamlessly from design through construction. For us, building better together also means creating long-lasting relationships and earning our clients’ trust every step of the way,” explained Abby Myers, Director of Business Development.
A recent example of this philosophy in action was a hands-on training event KCBR hosted in their showroom, welcoming vendor partners Wedi, SunTouch, Jaeckle Distributors, and Laticrete for in-depth education with their field crew. The day began with sit-down sessions where the crew met directly with each vendor to explore product innovations, performance standards, and installation strategies. These conversations allowed for open dialogue, real-world problem-solving, and a deeper understanding of how each system works together in a finished space.

Following a casual BBQ that fostered personal connections (because strong working relationships are built on trust, not just technical knowledge), the training moved into the shop for hands-on reinforcement of techniques and best practices. This approach is a direct reflection of owner Anthony Myers’ leadership and what sets KCBR apart. Investing the time, resources, and effort into this level of collaboration, even among vendors who may be competitors, is uncommon in the industry but essential to KCBR’s mission.
This commitment to education and vendor partnerships translates directly into better outcomes for clients. Because the team is continually trained by preferred vendors and industry partners, they can introduce homeowners to materials, technologies, and design solutions they may not even know exist, from performance-driven tile systems to heated flooring to innovative waterproofing solutions that expand what’s possible in a space.
“Your Project, Our Passion” isn’t just KCBR’s motto; it’s also a solid promise, evident in how their entire team approaches each remodel. Personalized style goes beyond surface-level aesthetics to deeply understanding how clients live, what they value, and how their home should support them daily. With design, construction, and project management under one roof, KCBR removes the disconnect that often forces compromise during construction. Close relationships with preferred vendors allow them to streamline ordering, minimize delays, and ensure materials arrive exactly as specified.
For homeowners, “Building Better Together” means their home is being designed and built by a team that is informed, aligned, and confident in every detail.
“Design ideas aren’t just inspired; they’re fully supported by a high level of craftsmanship and thoughtful execution, paired with true collaboration across our team. The result is more than beautiful spaces; it’s work meant to last, create memories, and be custom-tailored to each client’s functional needs. Being part of our clients’ journey and bringing something so meaningful to life is truly rewarding,” emphasized Myers.
