Cabinetry Trends

Recent trends show that homeowners are opting for new styles, warmth and sophistication of natural wood with pops of color for their cabinets. You will notice the old shaker style has a thinner appearance (slim shaker) making it more refined, modern and minimalist. Paneled cabinets are trending, giving you a more rustic feel to the space.

These will feel at home in a farmhouse style home, cabin or lake home setting. Glass doors on upper cabinets are boasting right now as well. Watch for reeded panels that flaunt their pattern and texture. Used sparingly, these create a focal point of design. If you prefer color, look at the soft greens with a touch of gray, deep navy or taupes. White cabinets are being used in combination with stained white oak and sometimes color.

When remodeling your home, consider bringing the outdoors in. Think warm, earthy and inviting. Because the kitchen is the heart of the home, the coziness of the space and spending time with family and friends is always in style.
