Upon first meeting Heather Wells of Wallace Home Group, you are welcomed by her warm and inviting personality. There is something intangible about her that makes you feel right at home. However, she will be the first to let you know she is part of a team first, and that everyone in this group leads with a heart of service for others. 

Raised in a real estate family, Wells essentially cut her teeth in the industry. Her parents both have strong roots in the business. Her dad Larry Wallace began his career in the early 1970s, initially working with Harden Stockton and then transitioning to Coldwell Banker before purchasing JC Nichols with two other executives and growing it to the revered status known as ReeceNichols today. Wells’ mom, Marcia Wallace, obtained her real estate license in 1989, followed by Wells three years later. The two worked in the same office but in separate roles.

“My mom was the head of our team until a few years ago and truly is the legacy behind it,” reflected Wells, who credits Marcia with setting a strong foundation for the solid work ethic and guiding principles this team follows. Wells’ sister Jenny Nagel is also an integral part of this team. Jenny previously worked as a title closer for years and brings to the table a wealth of expertise with respect to closings, title work, and contracts. Wallace Home Group has now grown to a team of six agents and a transaction coordinator. In addition to Wallace, Wells, and Nagel, team members include Jeannette Hedberg, Amy Hurley, LuAnn Roberts, and Erica Holmes.

“We are a family boutique team, and all of our agents are like family to us,” emphasized Wells, who credits the overall success of the team to the relationships they create within the community.  “We have sold thousands of homes and enjoy both repeat and referral opportunities to do business.”

Wells and her team pride themselves on their overall knowledge of the market, which includes new construction and relocation services, and their superior customer service. And, they also understand the various chapters in life through which people transition. 

“We walk with our clients through all stages of life,” noted Wells. “We have a highly compassionate team who assists each client on their own personal journey of life. It means so much to us when clients call us to help them in situations, such as referring a grown child to us who wants to buy a home or perhaps, they are in the process of selling their parents’ home and moving them into assisted living.”
