Hello, I’m Kristeen Armstrong-Scott, owner of Armstrong Kitchens in Overland Park. I grew up in the kitchen business and loved it so much I’m still in it. My father’s Armstrong Cabinet shop was next to our home and as a small child I would sneak in there every chance I could to “help”. I was finally banished to the sidewalk with a hammer, a bag of nails and a pine board-and told to out. It took a few years, but I got back in!
With my Interior Design degree from KSU, we expanded the family business to encompass the whole kitchen and opened our first showroom in 1978. I’ve been truly blessed ever since to be part of the talented team at Armstrong Kitchens. When I earned my CKD (Certified Kitchen Design) I realized my NKBA training was truly improving the quality of design I could offer my homeowners! I was so excited when JCCC asked me to teach NKBA methods to new designers in 2003. I’m still teaching there and recently upgraded my certification to CKBD (Certified Kitchen & Bath Design).
My first love has never changed though-designing for our great customers and bringing it to life with our total installation.
