Exceptional Craftsmanship and Service Builder

It’s no secret the past year has impacted industries across the board. However, when you are a company that excels in service, craftsmanship and quality, such delays are merely temporary challenges that are met and overcome with creativity, inspiration and ingenuity.

Syler Construction, known for its exceptional craftsmanship and service, understands how to adjust its sails to compete with unexpected winds and will always confidently remain at the helm for clients, from start to finish.

“We are extremely hands-on and deal directly with each client throughout the entire building process,” emphasized Garret Syler, co-owner, alongside his father Jerry Syler. “We are very structured in our process and strive to ensure we are all on the same page so we can work together to build that dream home.”

To that end, Syler has a keen focus on what is trending in terms of overall design and style, which includes both interior and exterior elements. More than just incorporating extraordinary functionality into each home, Syler also relies on a full tool box of ideas when it comes to installing that undeniable “wow” factor into each home. This includes unique features such as a Tetris vault ceiling, designed like an intricate maze with pendant lights dropped in, for example. Boxed beams, accent walls, expansive kitchen, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace flanked with custom cabinets, and 12-foot double sliding doors that lead out to a covered or screened-in deck are also hallmarks of Garret’s design savvy and prowess.

“We are available for our clients from start to finish and remain sharp about looking at inspirations and putting new trends together,” emphasized Syler. “We are experts at pulling everything together and doing some of those things outside the box. In a sense, we like to be an inspiration to others.”

Granted, in this extraordinary time of delays in product, what used to take eight to nine months to complete can now take up to a year or so. However, that extra time involved only serves to strengthen the talents and expertise of this team, as they continue to stay in-the-know and in alignment with all of their exceptional vendors, suppliers and sub-contractors.

“We meet expectations and stay ahead of the game in order to plan for these delays,” explained Syler, who refuses to operate in the last minute. “We are straight shooters and are up-front with  our clients, always communicating how to move forward through these times.”

Syler credits his outstanding team with the express ability to navigate each project seamlessly. This includes Interior Designer Megan Seise and Project Manager Chad Burkhart.

“We are very team-oriented, and both Megan and Chad always bring ideas to make the product even better,” noted Syler, who also loves it when clients bring their own ideas to the table. “Megan has evolved to be an integral part of our business. She handles the selections with incredible expertise while Chad delivers the final touch to obtain that exceptional craftsmanship standard.”

One of Syler Construction’s most popular plans is the Avail floorplan, which appeals to many prospective homeowners and has evolved over the years with the continued incorporation of new details and features. This design is perfect for those desiring to downsize or for families who want to upgrade from a starter home. No matter your desired lifestyle, the Avail speaks your language and can easily translate its design and functionality specifically to your tastes.

“This reverse one-and-a-half story home is the perfect flex plan for the middle range home buyers,” expressed Syler of the four bedroom, three-and-a-half bath home that boasts a traditional design style while also incorporating universal design architecture.

“We provide a lot of selections for upgraded finishes and our trim guy makes everything look amazing,” said Syler. “Between our team and our subcontractors, we have a great system all working together to deliver the best product.”

While Syler builds primarily in the Northland area, this company’s reach extends to many parts of the metro area and some of his premier designs can be found in Staley Farms, Davidson Farms, Eagle Point of Shoal Creek, Thousand Oaks, Palisades and even in his own development, The Meadows at Greenfield, in Kearney, Missouri. Syler also does custom builds on acreage in rural areas.

Somewhat of a hybrid company, Syler Construction can take a speculative price point yet still provide custom finishes.

“We compete with both speculative and custom builders,” Syler explained. “We create the feel of a custom home with additional upgrades, but also maintain a simple base price with extras from which the homeowners can choose within a matter of just a couple of hours by making selections in our custom selections book.”
