While confidently presenting in a stylish layer of gray tones, this bathroom offers an artistic twist with its deco strips of custom-made patterned tiles in-laid throughout the space. With a primary focus on a neutral shade of gray, a unique tone is set with these individually-crafted ceramic tile pieces. Through the incorporation of this fun layer of personality, a beautiful platform of color sets an even more luxurious and playfully elegant tone to the space.

“Adding this colored tile was the idea of the homeowner, who is an artist,” noted Barringer Hansel, owner of Heartland Kitchen & Bath. “You don’t often see this style, but once it’s installed, you realize how fabulous it can be.”

As the tile provides an outline of the bathroom, it easily draws the eyes to the oversized spa tub and the contiguous zero-entry shower.

“This is the original tub that the homeowner wanted to keep,” noted Hansel, whose crew simply gave the tub a well-deserved facelift. The patterned tile on the floor of the expansive shower is comprised of systematically-arranged 2” x 2” accent tile pieces. The shower is flanked by a ½” glass wall just above the back of the tub and by a 3/8” glass door.

The stained maple cabinets of the nearby vanity support a Cambria quartz countertop with faucets installed in the backsplash instead of standing as part of the traditional countertop arrangement. Two maple framed mirrors above the vanity add to the delightful flair of the space, while LED lighting handles the assignment of providing the perfect ambiance to enhance the desired mood.

“All of the can lights come with four varying shades and can be adjusted from soft lighting to bright lighting as needed,” indicated Hansel.
