The beautiful in-store showroom faucet and fixture displays allow people to walk in with a vision and leave with a plan to bring their designs to life. She offers design consultations, install services with an emphasis on product knowledge, and more. A client can walk in with their floor plan and design their whole house completely without having to leave the store, seamlessly. This is truly a one-stop showroom.
This store has been open for seven years, and Nelson has been at the helm for two. She has over 25 years of experience in the plumbing and showroom industry and brings along another level of expertise. She is on the board of the American Society of Interior Designers and involved in the National Kitchen and Bath Association.
“Prior to this, I had my own design business where I worked with builders on new construction model homes and private homes. Then after that, I got into the plumbing industry which I found new and exciting, and have been doing it ever since,” she noted. “I’ve always had an interest in design and have a great client following, most of whom have been with me for many years.”
She sells the complete family of Kohler lines, including Kohler Kallista, Robern, and Ann Sacks tile, which are luxury lines featuring high-end designers and are very stylized for the discerning customer who wants lovely high style items.
“Ann Sacks is exclusive here in Kansas City. It is very high-end, all handmade and customized. You can pick your style, size, patterns, and colors to create beautiful walls and floors. It is very exclusive and luxurious. They gather from artisans all over the world,” she explained. “Our Robern line is another of our sought-after lines, offering lighted mirror cabinets, furniture, and beautiful vanities, all high-end. Cabinetry paint colors, printed sinks, and spring green are becoming popular now.”
They are a full-service showroom working with many designers in Kansas City. Stylized areas include kitchen sinks, toilets, bathtubs, steam, lighting, tile services, and kitchen design with cabinets and countertops.
“We have been selected to design two of the bathrooms in the 54th Symphony Designers’ Showhouse which will be open for tour April 27 – May 19. We are also doing a home on the Artisan Home Tour,” she noted.

Green is the new color for spring, and Kohler has introduced green-coated faucets and fixtures. Kallista recently came out with new designs, featuring customizable handles, and neutral wood tones are all the rage this year.
