Becky Brock

Top Inspirational Agent

Story by Judy Goppert    |    Sponsored Content

For Becky Brock, Real Estate is more than transactions – it’s about People, Perseverance, Resilience and Heart. Those qualities define both Becky’s life and her work as one of Kansas City’s top Realtors.

Her story is as inspiring as it is personal. After losing her mom to breast cancer after an almost 10-year battle, Becky faced her own diagnosis just months later. “Thankfully, it was caught early – I’m now three and a half years cancer-free,” she shares. “I’m not just a survivor, I’m a thriver. Dealing with health issues have taught me patience, compassion, and resilience – qualities I carry into every client relationship. My mom and I both tested negative for BRCA1 and BRCA2 cancer genes.” Her message is not to assume it couldn’t happen to you.

Becky compares homeownership to health: both require care, maintenance, and listening closely to the signs. And just like her own journey, she encourages others to be proactive. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – get your mammogram! A 3-D mammogram was Becky’s key to early detection. Resources are available to help those who can’t afford it or don’t have adequate insurance. Becky also asked that the Oncology team at KU Med and Element Medical Imaging receive a shout-out as a testament to the treatment she and her mother both received.

Her resilience extends to her career as a Realtor. For 17 years-most of those with the #1 residential resale real estate team in Kansas City, the Koehler Bortnick Team at ReeceNichols, Becky has built a thriving business on trust, hard work, and connection.

“Buying or selling a home isn’t always stress-free and is often the biggest financial decision people make in life. My job is to help streamline the process so clients can enjoy the next chapter of their lives. I want to turn houses into homes and their dreams into addresses.” She strives to continue to be a resource and valued advisor.

That success comes from repeat clients, referrals, and relocation clients, the first two reflecting the relationships she builds. “Whether it’s a first-time buyer or a luxury client, every person gets 110% from me,” she says with a smile. “My goal is for my clients to always know they are a priority and that I understand how important the transaction is to them.”

Going vastly beyond her contract knowledge, strong negotiation skills and interior design eye to her knowledge of marketing and new construction/remodeling, she helps clients visualize the potential in a home or prepare their home to sell for top dollar. She has contractors and resources to assist clients well after a home closes. One of her long-time trusted contractors recently stated ‘Becky is one of the few Realtors that I have met that can see beyond the surface of a home update and provide valuable insight into a remodel or updating project.’

Her results have earned her consistent recognition as a Top Agent in the Kansas City area and a repeat Five Star Professional (voted on by her clients). However, awards aren’t what drives her. “For me, the biggest honor is when clients come back to work with me again or send me referral clients. That’s the ultimate compliment I can receive.”

When she’s not serving clients, Becky loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys all things Kansas City, supporting local, and cheering on local sports teams…GO CHIEFS, Royals, and Sporting KC!! She’s passionate about giving back to numerous local charities and is involved in philanthropic endeavors. Whether in business or in life, her focus remains the same: bringing compassion, energy, and expertise to everything she does.

“At the heart of it, real estate is about people,” Becky reflects. “I want my clients to feel cared for, advocated for, supported, and celebrated. Buying or selling a home is one of life’s biggest milestones-and I’m grateful to be part of that journey.” No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Admittedly, she may have borrowed that last line from Taylor Swift, yet believes in it wholeheartedly.
