Cabinetry Trends

As we all know, the beauty of trends is that they’re always evolving, and there are always new and exciting things on the horizon. As black cabinets continue to be a statement, different colors are taking the stage, sage grey greens, taupes, even hints of blush, and more and more natural stains.

Oak is making a reappearance with washed, muted stains and even painted; people are liking the texture. As the midcentury style takes a spotlight, we see more Beech wood being used, showcasing its beautiful tight woodgrain. Overall, stain colors are way more muted and natural than in the past. The biggest islands possible, paneled appliances, and statement hoods add high-end details to kitchen spaces. We are creating extra work space in pantries with countertop space for small appliances and hidden coffee stations. As for countertops, the full-height backsplash with the top continuing up the wall or an eight-inch backsplash with mini three-inch shelves on top gives us a luxury feel.

We’re seeing fewer wall cabinets and big base cabinets with organized storage.  White cabinets remain a mainstay; it is always timeless and classic.
