creatively inspired – artistically designed – beautifully delivered
I’ve asked myself should I pick one discipline, art or design, and practice only that one? My answer has always been no. How could I choose only one?
My first degree is a BA in Communication Studies, but the call to art and design has always been strong for me, so much so that I thought about transferring to a school with graphic or interior design.
Life happened: marriage, corporate job, a set of twins, and fast forward to 2015. I enrolled in the interior design program at Johnson County Community College, and in 2020, I graduated with two interior design degrees.
It was an odd time to enter the interior design business…in the middle of lockdown! With downtime on my hands, I added an important tool to my toolkit: certification as a kitchen and bath designer through the NKBA. I was ready to launch into the interior design community of Kansas City!
That’s where you’ll find me now, offering space planning, custom color plans, furniture and finish selections, custom/original artwork, and illustration/surface pattern design. I love discovering what is unique about my clients and bringing that out in creative solutions, using my artistic side to help them visualize the project.
You’ll still find me showing and selling artwork, too. My latest endeavor is using my art for patterns on wallpaper, fabric and home decor. Coming soon…my signature line of wallpaper!
If you have an art or design project you’ve been noodling over, I’d love to help you bring it to life!
