Cabinetry & Plumbing Fixtures
Story by Judy Goppert / Sponsored Content
Luxury abounds when you walk into the showroom of Kohler® Signature Store by First Supply. They are the only Kohler Signature in the KC metro area/Midwest with this prestigious designation. First Supply is a family-owned company that has been in business for over 126 years, supplying top plumbing, tile, and cabinetry brands.
Lynn Nelson, Showroom Manager for this location, is the ideal person to steer customers, builders, and interior designers in the right direction when it comes to the latest in kitchen and bath faucets, fixtures, lighting, tile, and features. The expansive in-store showroom faucet and fixture displays allow people to walk in with a vision and leave with a plan to bring their designs to life. She offers design consultations, install services with an emphasis on product knowledge, and customer service. A client can walk in with their floor plan and design their whole house interiors completely and seamlessly without having to leave the store. This is truly a one-stop showroom.
This store has been open for seven years, and Nelson has been at the helm for three. With over 25 years in the plumbing and showroom industry, she brings another level of expertise. Nelson is on the board of the American Society of Interior Designers, involved in the National Kitchen and Bath Association, as well as the HBA of Kansas City.
“Prior to this I had my own design business. I found I was lacking knowledge in the luxury plumbing vein of design, so here I am!” she noted, adding, “I’ve always had an interest in design and have amazing clients whom I have worked with for years.”
She sells the complete family of Kohler lines, including Kohler Kallista, Robern and Ann Sacks tile, which are luxury lines featuring high-end designers, and are very stylized for the discerning customer who wants lovely luxury items.
Kallista, a luxury line of faucets and fixtures, is stunning. Partnered with a variety of incredible designers, the line is truly beautiful.
“Just retuning from the Kohler Manager Summit, I was able to get a preview of some new introductions by Kohler. I was inspired by a renewed focus on ‘wellness.’ They have introduced the Ice Bath, offering a luxury cold plunge experience at home,” she continued. “Kohler will also be introducing a line of saunas soon, while steam for the shower has been redefined. Digital shower valves are still leading the market for a custom shower experience.”
Fresh View
Wellness is a huge focus this year. Look for two new faucet finishes rolling out. Smart toilets continue in popularity and function, while becoming more affordable. Several new all-in-one vanity collections, complete with tops, sinks, and hardware making the installation process much more convenient. In addition, there is a new kitchen faucet line I am super excited about. Modern Industrial styling puts the latest twist on this line. All these avant-garde products will be available for viewing in the upcoming months. We invite you to make yourself at home in our showroom and experience the luxury of Kohler.
They are a full-service showroom working with many designers in Kansas City. Stylized areas include faucets, kitchen sinks, toilets, bathtubs, steam, lighting, and tile. They also have a certified kitchen designer in store available for kitchen cabinet design. Omega & Kemper are their main lines.
The Kohler Store has partnered with the JCCC student design team to create an incredible ballroom bath for the KC Symphony Designers’ Showhouse this year as well.
