Mark Sumada is at it again! His Drummond style home in the Palisades subdivision in Riverside was chosen Pick of the Parade – Gold, the most coveted award the Parade judges present. He also won the silver Distinctive Design Award.
With over 40 years-experience in the home building industry, he has first-hand knowledge of all phases of construction.
“This Drummond style home was actually first built in the 1800s, with low-pitched roofs, which adds to today’s contemporary look and elevation,” Mark explained. “Part of the reason I designed this house is because I wanted to create a home that empty nesters could downsize to but much to my surprise the acceptance and desire of millennials starting families wanting this style of floor plan. It is a open ranch plan with 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor, vaulted ceilings, stylish and the contemporary feel that is progressive as the times we live in today. We’ve expanded the square footage to the basement which affords a lower level finish with so many options, another great room with bar and entertainment center, the ability for three more bedrooms, an exercise room and still have storage. The lighting, 5 star energy package, upgraded tile, state of the art automated electronic package and many other progressive features makes this home, like all the others we design and build, one that you won’t tire of and appreciate for years to come.”
