Story by Ann Butenas
Sharon G. Aubuchon, known as a top real estate agent with RE/MAX Premier Realty, not only within the metro area but also in the country, is no stranger to winning awards for her outstanding work and performance in the real estate arena. However, what’s most important to her is that she has won them together with her clients, as those are the people she serves without hesitation and with unwavering commitment to ensure they enjoy the best possible real estate transaction they can.
The numbers speak for themselves, too. Sharon has helped over 1,000 families buy and sell houses throughout her career, as well as given residence to countless furry friends (more on this later!). While that may seem like a staggering amount, helping others simply comes naturally to her
“When you hire me, you get me,” she emphasized. “I believe that my clients are entitled to the person they hired.”
Sharon wants her clients to have the peace of mind that comes with knowing that throughout their entire real estate journey, whether buying, selling, or both, Sharon will be there with them every step of the way – guiding, advising, educating, and more. The process is about them, not her. She has an accomplished team to help her, too. She leaves no stone unturned on the road to customer satisfaction.
That commitment to her clients, to her career, and to the overall success of each transaction is seen in all of the awards Sharon has received, as well, which include (but are not limited to) the following:
- #1 RE/MAX (Kansas) Realtor – 2016-2021
- Recognized by America’s Best Real Estate Professionals in the Top 25 Kansas Agents for 2022
(This is really a big deal, as when an agent is in America’s Best, this constitutes the top 3,700 agents in the United States across every single brokerage! This speaks volumes about Sharon and the high level of value she brings to her clients.)
- #1 Luxury Real Estate Agent
- Top 1.5% out of 1.6 million real estate agents nationwide
- Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist
- Certified at Home with Diversity Specialist
- 5-Star Professional Award Winner
Unique to Sharon’s approach is her vast corporate background. Prior to her real estate career, Sharon worked within the corporate world working for a Fortune 500 company as a General Manager and Vice President of Sales. With 20+ years of experience in the corporate arena, Sharon honed her fast-tracking skills building and hiring teams, breaking the glass ceiling, and skyrocketing to impressive levels of achievement. When she entered the real estate industry, she quickly transferred her remarkable executive-level skill sets to become a multi-million-dollar producer working with buyers and sellers across the metro area. And she has accomplished that with one simply philosophy.
“My client is my priority,” noted Sharon. “I am never too busy for my client, whether we are focused on a $200,000 home or a $2 million home, each client comes first, and I treat them like my own family, looking out for their best interest at all times.”
Sharon takes that feeling of responsibility to the highest level possible, no matter the situation.
“I won’t write an offer on a house I don’t think will work for my client,” she gave as an example. “Even when I am listing a house, if my client thinks it should sell for one price, but I think it won’t sell for that price, I have no problem advising that client what I need to tell them. I market homes well and market what will sell. I will never do anything that would be a disservice to my client.”
Away from work, Sharon’s heart of compassion carries over to her other interests, which include friends of the four-legged kind. An animal lover at heart, Sharon currently has an Australian Shepherd named Sadee and two calico cats who are sisters, Snowflake and Cleopatra, all of whom are rescue pets. And as the colder months begin to emerge, Sharon loves to just sit by her wood burning fireplace and reflect on some of her most important blessings in life.
“Because of my real estate career, I have some of the most awesome and amazing friends,” she smiled. “In fact, I have jokingly referred to Zillow as the friendship app, as I have met some lifelong friends there.”
For Sharon, knowledge has always been her superpower, whether professionally or personally, and she uses that knowledge to the benefit of her clients. Right now, she has the wisdom to understand that life is as it should be. She knows there will always be a need for someone to buy or sell a home. She will always be at the ready, too, for her clients when they are in that position. She also appreciates that there will always be loving pets who need a good home, as her heart is always open in that regard. When you get right down to it, it seems Sharon has the innate ability to find a great home for every living being. Perhaps that is the greatest reward of all.
