Sometimes, it only takes a few colorful thoughts and ideas to vamp up a living area. Meredith Lemons listened to her client and ta daa!

“My client has five children and is extremely busy. So, she decided she wanted a space where she felt like she was at a spa and could ‘zen’ out,” Lemons smiled. “We used marble flooring, shower walls, and counters to really elevate the space.”

Initially, the prior bathroom did not have a vanity as a central spot, it was merely a stack of drawers. Lemons decided to give her a spot where she could sit and relax in while getting ready for the day.

“We knew we wanted three glamorous mirrors to showcase the vanity wall, and she loved the shape and color of the stunning, feminine brass mirrors, but we wanted something large and different for her makeup area,” she continued. “She fell in love with this round mirror and we knew it was perfect to complement the other two mirrors.”

Since it is a spacious bathroom, she opted for the rug in the middle and the large, pink pouf Lemons had shown her in her renderings, so she found one! It grounds the room and makes it feel less stark and quite luxurious.

The shower walls are comprised of a framed-out marble detail which creates more interest.

“Brass plumbing fixtures warm up the space and I believe they are like jewelry,” Lemons noted.

Before the remodel, there was a large built-in tub. Her team was able to utilize the space better by installing the free-standing tub and eliminate the bulk. The shower was previously an odd shape with large faux pillars. By removing these and lowering the ceiling and tiling in marble, they created more of a spa shower.

“My client actually told me she had several other designers and contractors come in who told her things weren’t possible. And she shared with me, ‘I gave you an image of what I wanted, you brought back renderings, and, oh my God, this is my space!’” Lemons smiled. “She was so happy she was able to get the space she wanted.”
